Post A Facebook Challenge

Take it from Kemberly, a little challenge can go a long way. Kemberly raised $2,500 by asking for 50 $50 donations in honor of her 50th Birthday from her Facebook friends! Donating your Birthday or challenging your friends on Facebook to donate in a fun way, such as donations in honor of World Kindness Day, is a fantastic way to boost your fundraising to help meet your goal.

Square Up!

With sports that is! Take advantage of different athletic events that everyone is watching (i.e. the Super Bowl, March Madness, even different Olympic competitions) and sell squares. Part of the money you collect should go to the prizes you distribute, or come up with some amazing prizes of your own, and the rest can go to your fundraising goal. This is an easy way to offer an incentive for donating and get plenty of people involved!

Publicly Thank Donors in Fun Ways!

Each time someone donates, be sure to personally thank them on your social media channels and post a link to your fundraising page. Not only is it a great way to recognize your donors, but can also inspire others to give too!

thank you!

Don’t Be A “One and Done” Asker

Often times people mean to donate, but just don’t get around to it. Don’t be afraid to ask people multiple times for donations and keep it at the front of their brain. Recently we heard from a donor who had been meaning to make their donation for 2 months before getting around to it, so don’t be a “one and done” asker!

Spring Clean

Zac and his mom Pia, ask their friends and family to “Clean House” to help raise money. They’re collecting clothing, shoes, and household items for Savers Thrift Store through their Fundrive Program. The more bags they collect, the more money they raise. If there’s a Savers by you, check it out. You can also hold a yard sale or sell your items on Craigslist or eBay to raise money.

Collect Coins!

Have classmates or coworkers bring in the spare change they find around the house. Decorate a canister with your picture and why you are shaving. You’d be surprised how quickly change adds up!
