When you Conquer the Course you're helping children and their families fight pediatric cancer from the moment of diagnosis, through treatment, and beyond.
Why join the race?
There are many obstacles a child must face during cancer. While often these obstacles show up in the form of fevers, infections, and low blood counts, some are as simple as not being able to go to school or see friends. Kids with cancer feel isolated, alone, and scared.
To overcome these obstacles, they are forced to find their inner strength and push through the pain and isolation.
When you make the choice to walk or run in One Mission’s Conquer the Course, you are making the choice to stand in solidarity with children who are fighting these obstacles every day.
By choosing to embark on a race with surprise obstacles, you will get as close as you can to being in the trenches alongside them.
Be a hero for kids fighting cancer
If kids can fight cancer,
you can CONQUER the COURSE!
The One Mission Story
My HERO.
Life is full of ups and downs. We are all forced to face different challenges. In 2006, when my son, Nicholas, was diagnosed with AML (Leukemia), he and I were both confronted with the biggest challenge of our lives.
From the start of treatment, I had no idea what to expect, and how difficult an obstacle this was going to be. Nicholas endured countless infections, surgeries, not being able to find a bone marrow donor, and fevers that would not quit. He missed developmental milestones, was not allowed to eat for months, and was forced to overcome many other obstacles.
Conquer the Course is an opportunity I have created for people who want to help bring programs, financial support and hope to children who are fighting cancer, all while being able to enjoy the breathtaking view of Wachusett Mountain as they push themselves out of their comfort zone in the name of helping sick kids.
I promise this event will change your life! You will find strength and courage you didn’t know you had; just as Nicholas, myself, and countless other children and families do every day while fighting cancer.
I can’t wait to see you on the mountain!
Love, Ashley
